Midwifery care is for every body (not just birth)

Our midwives are passionate about providing personalized wellness and gynecological care that gives you time to ask questions, understand your body, and get the support you need.

From routine screenings to sexual health, hormones, fertility, and everything in between, our care is built around you, your needs, and your choices.

Our midwives are dedicated to providing trauma-informed, queer and trans-affirming care rooted in consent, body autonomy, and respect. We take our time, explain what we’re doing, and make sure you remain in control of what happens with your body throughout your visit.

Clients are encouraged to guide their own care in whatever way feels most comfortable — including choosing positioning, participating in exams, placing their own speculum, self-guiding Pap collection, or stopping or changing an exam at any time. Our goal is to make healthcare feel collaborative, respectful, and truly centered around you.

Well Person Care

options for care

Whole-Body Wellness
Routine physical exams and focused exams for specific concerns or questions. Visits can include lab work, hormone testing, menstrual and reproductive health, nutrition, herbal medicine, supplement recommendations, and other areas of overall wellness.

Pap + Cervical Health
Gentle, trauma-informed Pap testing and cervical cancer screening. You are involved in your care at every step, including the option to place your own speculum or participate in the procedure when desired.  No cold exam tables or stirrups are ever used.  Instead, we give you under a cozy blanket and we use a comfy bed.  Full consent is requested at every step, and we take as much time as needed.

STI + Sexual Health
Confidential STI screening and lab testing, sexual health education, and a comfortable space to discuss questions or concerns without judgment.

Breast + Chest Health
Routine breast and chest exams, evaluation of specific concerns or changes, education, and referrals for additional screening when needed.

Fertility + Birth Control
Education and support around fertility, cycle awareness, preconception planning, and birth control options, helping you make informed choices that work for your body and goals.

Queer + Trans-Affirming Care
Our team has extensive experience caring for queer, trans, and gender-diverse clients. We understand that healthcare isn't one-size-fits-all, and we are dedicated to providing care that respects your identity, your body, your language, and your individual needs.

Your Body, Your Care
Throughout every visit, we prioritize body autonomy, consent, and your individual preferences. You are an active participant in your care, and nothing is done without your understanding and permission.

Annually at Dyke Day LA pride festival

Pap Smears for Queers is a free community health clinic held annually at Dyke Day LA since 2021. Our team of queer and allied midwives, doulas, and sex educators comes together each year to provide free cervical cancer screenings in a cozy, private tent right in the middle of the festival.

No cold exam tables or stirrups are ever used. Instead, we give you a cozy blanket and we use a comfy bed.

If you'd like to help keep Pap Smears for Queers free and accessible, please consider making a donation. Your support helps cover Pap testing and provider costs for future community clinics.
